TÅ«hoe Tu Uru Taumatua is the new centre of governance and meeting place for the iwi in Taneatua, near Whakatane. Designed to the stringent criteria of the international Living Building Challenge (LBC), the completed project is New Zealand’s most advanced sustainable building.
Innovations of the project’s design were driven by the strict constraints of the project and THUNDAFLO was chosen to supply a section of channel drain along the front of the stage.
